Here are some a few photos of a day trip to Marion, I was only there for a little over 1 hour and saw 6 trains. If you've never been I would highly recommend going. There are 2 diamonds, an old passneger station that is being renovated, a place to sit (if your into that or if you brought your wife) and an old switch tower (fully renovated) which you can climb up onto and shoot photos.

Also there is a model railroad club that operates in part of the old station. It's a popular place so expect a decent amount of folks up there. If I were to recommend bringing anything other than your camera and a snack, I'd say bring ear plugs, those diamonds are loud!. The faster the train the louder it gets.

I know: "what! only 3 photos????" yeah, more to come in 2004...
